We’ve got another good one on our hands, my people. Find us out, or follow along on social media. Any phenomenal photos or thoughts we have will be shared eventually!
Sunday (10/2) –
The louder the better, right? Day 1 looked pretty insane, so the second half of the fest should knock you off your feet.
Oregon folk men Blind Pilot take the Headliners stage.
Michael Young, WFPK host, expressed his jealousy of those people who are able to go see the multi-faceted, forever sexy singer.
Thursday (10/6) –
Deerhunter, with Aldous Harding and Jock Gang
This indie rock band has some serious Louisville fans, as there are lots of folks excited for this Thursday night show at Headliners. Break into the weekend with some Georgia jams.
Coheed and Cambria with Saves The Day and Polyphia
Angsty teen throwback!
Playing this week’s lunch time set at Mayor Fischer’s Gallery Listening Room is Eliot Sumner (see below.) Get a preview of this New Vintage show in a more intimate, day-time setting.
Everything about this show is curious and alluring. As Sting’s offspring, Sumner most certainly is talented, but the creativity of their sound is the real winner. Moral of the story, I’m pumped for this one.
New Autumn Festival
This multi-day New Albany festival looks like fun. Lots of Lou bands are headed across the river to play some free, night sets.
Friday (10/7) –
The Growlers (produced in conjunction with Vectortone)
The Growlers certainly have that super cool California swag. They have essentially coined the term Beach Goth, which doesn’t mean a whole lot for this non-coastal girl. That being said, I love what I hear.
This Nashville two-piece band is gonna blow up Zbar.
We’ve got two days of this annual blue throw down.
Another year celebrating the Belknap neighborhood. This was one of our first Louisville fall fests 5 years ago,so it’ll always have a special place in our hearts! Frederick The Younger, Vessel, and Los Colognes all will be playing!
Saturday (10/8) –
Southern Culture On The Skids, The Split Squad
Southern Culture On The Skids is an entertaining bunch. They’ve got a new album, The Electric Pinecones.
Firekid impressed the hell out of us when he was in town for a Communion show in 2015. I’m excited to see what he’s been up to in the last year. Also on the bill is Korbee, a husband and wife duo from Cincinnati.

Chicago’s Do312 gives Mutts their stamp of approval. Good enough for me.
Solar Kentucky rocks Louisville w/Johnny Conqueroo and Voodoo Economics
Raise money for solar panels and other energy efficient technologies at Haymarket with drinks and jams.
