Half of this duo is back in KY and ready to get summer in the bluegrass going! Join me doing super fun things!
Sunday (6/12) –
M. Ward, with Big Thief & N.A.F.
I realize it’s now past the show, but I think it’s still worth writing about this one. From social media posts, looks like it was a killer Headliners show (Jenny ❤ ❤ ❤ )
Carmichael’s Bookstore presents An Evening with Stephen King
Not really LML related, but the former avid reader in both of us would have been stoked to attend this event. Stephen King is a sinister genius & a overall bada$$.
Wednesday (6/15) –
Jessica Lea Mayfield, Joann & The Dakota
Returning for the third time in the last year, this time as the headliner, Jessica Lea Mayfield is sure to captivate the Zbar crowd. And local openers Joann & The Dakota always bring fun-loving energy to any show.
“Weird Al” Yankovic: The Mandatory World Tour
Not sure this is our scene, but if it’s yours, hopefully the storms hold out for a weird evening at Iroquois.
Thursday (6/16) –
Communion Louisville: Brent Cobb, Nicole Atkins, Shelly Colvin, Matt Maeson
Is it really that time already? Communion is back, and sounds like this month is bringing a handful of folk musicians to grace that intimate Zbar stage.
Rye Back Porch Sessions ft. Graffiti, The Foxery, + Twenty First Century Fox
If it’s nice out, be sure to get out and enjoy some outdoor music this evening as well! Every time we see Graffiti we remember how much we love this fly group.
Rye Back Porch Sessions After Party
Have you checked out the outerSPACE yet behind Galaxie? Do502’s Snaps recently lead us to believe it’s THE late night hot spot.
Friday (6/17) –
This should be an event you want to attend anyway, but especially after this weekend’s tragic shooting in Florida and then subsequent walk down at the Big Four, I would expect loads of people to show out for Kentuckiana Pride. Bonus is that powerhouse Jordin Sparks will be performing, as well. Love all, ya’ll.
AWOLNATION with special guest Irontom
Expect loud and energetic. Slam a Red Bull before the show and you’ll be golden.
Frederick The Younger with Reality Something
It kills me that we still have yet to get across the river to New Albany for this Bicentennial Park Summer Concert Series. Maybe this week will be the perfect opportunity. Frederick The Younger includes a couple of teachers so they are likely rolling in the glory of summer like us!
Saturday (6/18) –
The last time we saw Harlow was for his 18th/Britt’s 26th birthday. The kid’s got talent and quite the fan base. I thoroughly expect Mercury to be packed for this one.
If soul/R&B is a little more your style, Headliners should be your stop. ALEX’s smooth voice and moves will keep you groovin’ for the night.
Night Visions Radio 5 Year Anniversary
Wrap up your Saturday night back at the outerSPACE to celebrate 5 years with FPK’s Night Visions Radio.
