Winning comes full circle with Yonder Mountain

One of the first shows I won tickets to in Louisville was to see Yonder Mountain String Band at Headliners in 2012. The played a great set following Brown Bird (what are they up to nowadays, anyway?). Last week, following the establishment of Do502, I scored us two tickets to see Yonder Mountain again, this time at Mercury Ballroom. It had been a while since we had listened to them, but their great jam band style hasn’t changed. I may not know many songs, but I can still rock out when seeing them because of their pure talent. There were all kinds of folks in attendance, as you might expect. I will say, too, that this is one of the only times I have been at Mercury Ballroom and not been kicked out of a show before midnight. They played two sets. TWO SETS. Unheard of. We had to leave early, seeing as it was a school night and all, but fun was still had. Just wanted to give another shout out to Do502 for those tickets! We’re both loving the site and hope that y’all are seeing more and more traffic through there each day.
