Miike Snow had been in Lou two times in a year. How did we get so lucky? Mercury Ballroom played host for this edition, and my guess was that most of the people at this show were not at the previous Headliners gig.
Their performances are a multi-modality thing, with lots of light action to go with the music. They played their big hitters, definitely pleasing the modest crowd.
The Dutch/Norwegian fellas of Klangstof opened up for the Swedes and they were light and fun, definitely enjoying themselves. Can we blame them? They’ve had quite the spring, with multiple “firsts” (see our ridiculous interview with them from Bonnaroo). They were some down to earth guys and we are happy to be watching their success as it happens!
