There are lots of things I love about living in Louisville. One that has been hugely important over the years is the smallness of the community – it always helps to know someone who knows someone. At boot camp a couple of weeks ago, Jeffrey offered food/drinks with Broods before their Mercury show, so duh, yes.
The New Zealand bro/sis duo have been making their electro indie pop happen over the last 4 years – they’ve notably toured with Ellie Goulding, Haim, Sam Smith, and Tove Lo – and neither one is even 25 yet. Anyway, it was lovely to chat with the band before the show (I miss those NZ accents) and then was able to catch a couple of their songs before beelining to Headliners. Georgia is a ball of energy on stage – could be because she’s 22… – and it was pretty clear that the crowd was loving on her. I mean, who wouldn’t?!
