Live Music Lou’s Can’t Miss: April 17 – 23

With Thunder this weekend, you’re set to have an eventful Saturday.  Make some week day plans with us, though, as there are multiple shows that are worthy of your attendance.  Follow socials for pictures (and a ticket giveaway!!!) and then check back here for our full albums and quality reviews.

Sunday (4/17) –

LOUIEVOLVE Hip Hop and Arts Festival

This weekend long event continues out at Tim Faulkner Gallery. If you didn’t stop by yesterday, you totally need to Sunday.

Brit Brigade

Ever watched someone play a video game timed perfectly to rock and roll? I’m sure for a gamer this is heaven.

Monday (4/18) –

Brook Annibale, Justin Lewis

Ms. Annibale made a stop through town for a Winter Wednesday this season – Britt was more than impressed, so this will help us get through a Monday. And Justin Lewis is fire.

Free Twin Limb? YAS.

The Dandy Warhols, Distortland Tour

The Dandy Warhols have gotten a lot of radio play in town on FPK with their fresh album Distortland.

Adia Victoria, Joann & The Dakota

Adia Victoria has been on several you oughta know lists in the past couple of years – that time has been spent prepping her upcoming release Beyond the Bloodhounds.

Wednesday (4/20) –

This experimental group would be a pretty sick way to spend hump day.

Justin Bieber “Purpose World Tour 2016” with special guests Moxie and Post Malone

I kinda want to see this shit show in person.

Nellie Pearl, Tsunami Samurai

Nellie Pearl is having a decent 2016 so far.

Nellie Pearl 2

Thursday (4/21) –

Kyle Gass Band

KG is the man, that is for certain. This is a special treat for us to have him at Zanzabar.

Mobley, Miss Shevaughn & Yuma Wray, Joann & The Dakota, The Thumps

WE’RE GIVING AWAY TICKETS FOR THIS ONE KIDS. It’ll be an eclectic night of some highly creative individuals. Joann & The Dakota have a busy week and we’ve only heard great things about Mobley.

Friday (4/22) –

Elizabeth Cook, Derek Hoke Trio

For some Nashville vibes, check out these folks. They’ll help you unwind from the week.

Saturday (4/23) –

Thunder Over Louisville

There are a plethora of options for your firework viewing pleasure. Do somethang.

Small Time Napoleon, Krystal Peters & The Queen City Band, Thirty Spokes

I’m not sure how all of the instruments will even fit at Zbar, but these groups should put on an awesome show if you’re looking to stay away from the Thunder crowds.
