Live Music Lou’s Can’t Miss: February 28 – March 5

This last week was pretty intense.  For real, we’re feeling it. But alas, there is no rest for us and you!  Louisville music fans have been showing up lately, and we hope this trend continues! During the week, check our social media for photos and updates, and then head back here for reviews!

Sunday (2/28)-

Dumpstaphunk

Dumpstaphunk’s name leaves nothing to the imagination really- funky as hell.

Josh Ritter & the Royal City Band with Bamstar!

Louisville loves Josh Ritter, that’s for sure.  This one’s sold out so I hope that you grabbed these tickets already. The prolific singer-songwriter is going to get our week started right, no doubt.

Pallbearer, Bellwitch, Wrekmeister Harmonier

This one has A LOT of people really excited.  Sunday Funday for sure.

Tuesday (3/1)-

Jukebox the Ghost with Mainland and Heather Bond

This melodic band with Louisville ties returns to Headliners for what we can only assume will be a memorable evening.

Wednesday (3/2)-

El Ten Eleven, Shallou

El Ten Eleven produces complex sounds that are easy to vibe to.  They are animated and passionate- always a great combo for a live show.

Thursday (3/3)-

Dom Flemons with Brian Farrow

You should recognize Dom Flemons. If you don’t, let us educate you.  Dom was an original member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops and is now out on his own doing his thing.

Friday (3/4)-

Heartless Bastards with SUSTO

Garage rock band Heartless Bastards will be heading down 71 from Cincinnati for an evening at Headliners.

Howell’s Hoot & Holler Karaoke

We’ve caught the last two of these and each has been hysterical.  If you’re willing to spin the wheel, delicious snacks are your award.  If you’re like us and just wanna watch, that’s also okay.

Houndmouth

We’re headed to Lexington to catch one of our favorite bands, duh.

Saturday (3/5)-

Three-and-a-Half Sense Festival

It sounds like we are half way to the Seven Sense Festival.  This single day event well help raise funds for one of our favorite events of the summer.

three-and-a-half

Keller Williams Kwahtro ft. Gibb Droll, Darton Boller & Rodney Holmes

Britt saw him at Greyfox a few years back and her major take-aways were definitely positive:  1. dude is hysterical, 2. definitely a crowd pleaser and 3. one-man-band.
