We will be in Florida living that spring break life, but tbh we are a little jealous of what all we are missing while we are gone.
Tuesday (4/3) –
Wednesday (4/4) –
Grammy nominated multi-instrumentalist (and alsoooo lead guitarist for Dave Matthews Band) Tim Reynolds is in town.
How about a little psychobilly?
Thursday (4/5) –
The Louisville fellas will be putting on a lunchtime jam.
Friday (4/6) –
Dr. Dog is back! Leo Weekly presents this one with WFPK. They are Lou favs for sure.
Vessel is playing 2 sets, so I dare you to try not jamming all night long.
Free lunch with local rockers!
Saturday (4/7) –
Hang out at Gravely beforehand for a brew or two, head to the show, and then dance with the West Market Street Stompers for their ‘LouOrleans’ rendition at Jimmy Can’t Dance afterward. Sounds like an epic night TBH.
Last year when I interviewed Teddy prior to Forecastle, he mentioned that he really wanted Jim James to collaborate with the Louisville Orchestra at some point, and here we are. This will be a special evening – I hope you have your tickets!
Throwback to SCREAMING INFIDELITIES at the top of my lungs with the windows down. Actually sad to be missing this, but I personally think all of the girls at the show will be too much. We’ll just have to enjoy all of the IG stories, which is also fine.
We could listen to John Paul White’s sultry smoothness all night. And so can you, at KCD Theater.
ICYMI: Blake Skidmore was on WFPK this week with Meg Samples to talk about his new album and the show in Dusty’s living room.
We haven’t ventured to Club Nirvana, but there is a shit ton of people who have RSVPd for this on Do502, so maybe this is the time to check it out?
Sunday (4/8) –
The Louisville Orchestra is definitely winning, this weekend. Jim James collab and 80th bday celebrations!? If you come to this, you also get a private concert with Teddy and vocal powerhouse Storm Large. You have to cough up some dough, but it will be worth it.
I bet these rockers are glad to be out on tour and not in Milwaukee this time of year…it’s still in the 30s up there right now yall. We hear they put on a pretty epic live show. Why not end your spring break in the goddamn right way, right!?
