Live Music Lou’s Can’t Miss: December 3 – 9

Sunday (12/3) –

Simple Plan – No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls 15th Anniversary Tour

Did you know that Simple Plan was even still around? Yeah, we didn’t either. But hey! This sounds like it could be a fun (probably drunk) way to spend your Sunday night!

Monday (12/4) –

Love Birds, Tycoon$ of Teen, Dry Summers

If you haven’t seen them yet (we haven’t..), Tycoon$ of Teen sound like they’d be a really fun band to see live. Why not this Monday, when you don’t have other plans?

Tuesday (12/5) –

Repeal Day!

Happy Repeal Day y’all! There are lots of bars around town celebrating. We’d recommend Jimmy Can’t Dance, The Butchertown Social, Meta and Against The Grain for our top picks. Bottom’s up!

Acoustic Jam 2017

It’s not all that often you have 12 different bands and artists on the same bill. Head to the Palace if country music is up your alley.

Wednesday (12/6) –

98º at Christmas

Real talk. 98 Degrees was Britt’s first concert back in 2001 (she still fairly regularly wears the band t-shirt to bed..), so there’s some history here. You think they’ll play any of their music that isn’t Christmas related? 🤞

An Acoustic Christmas with Over The Rhine

So much Christmas! I suppose it is December, so that makes sense, and the OTR duo is pretty fantastic.

Thursday (12/7) –

Christmas with Jennifer Nettles

You’ll recognize Ms. Nettles as the powerhouse behind country band Sugarland. She’s back in town to sing some beautiful Christmas music for you, so sit back and relax.

Old Salt Union

Get ready for a whole lot of strings and a grand old time. Their self-titled album came out this year, and received positive reviews. Listen for yourself before the show.

Yelawolf: 51/50 Tour

Southern rapper Yelawolf is taking over Mercury tonight.

WFPK Jazz Night with Ron Jones Quartet

It’s Thursday, which means it’s WFPK night at Jimmy Can’t Dance! This week: Ron Jones Quartet takes over the basement stage.

Friday (12/8) –

Luthi & Jenna Dean: Dare to Care Benefit

This Dare to Care benefit is free if you sign up on Do502 – just don’t forget to bring your canned donations!

Satellite Twin, Los Dolores, Beware The Images

Get ready for some rock n roll in Kaiju’s back room.

Howell Dawdy’s Glitteroke

The wheel is baaaaack. Sing some tunes. Get yourself some tacos.

Live Music with The Porch Possums

Not the possum that was in our backyard last month… These guys will help you kick off the weekend over at Goodwood!

Saturday (12/9) –

Eli Young Band

Country music seems to be pretty popular this week. Maybe everyone is just trying to pretend it’s summertime?
