Live Music Lou’s Can’t Miss: December 4 – 10

Repeal Day is maybe not celebated in other cities like it is here, because, well, bourbon. This kicks of this pretty solid week here in town

Sunday (12/4) –

Psychic Twin, ATOMO

Surreal Sunday’s.

Monday (12/5) –

Repeal Day Celebrations:  Haymarket’s 4th Annual Repeal Day Celebration, Repeal Day at The Ton

Celebrate the return of legal alcohol consumption! Where would we be today without this special day?

Tuesday (12/6) –

Forecastle 2016 Initial Lineup Release

Yeah, we’re floored by this diverse lineup.

Homeshake, Nobunny, The Cowboys

Homeshake includes Mac Demarco’s touring guitarist, Peter Sagar. His stuff is definitely a little swaggy. Nobunny breaks that mold with an actual rabbit mask, and some briefs.

Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, with Lazy Sunday

The Lou’s Lazy Sunday has been on a sweet run of shows, and this one is pretty big for them. Opening for Karl Denson is legit. Denson is a funky multi-instrumentalist who has played with or for all kinds of people in the business.

Wednesday (12/7) –

Back to Back to Black – A 10th Anniversary Celebration and Revival of the Entire Amy Winehouse Album

How crazy is it that Back to Black is 10 years old? Reminisce on this stellar album and the magnificent artist behind it.

Thursday (12/8) –

The Struts

These showy English dudes have gotten a lot of positive reviews. Their live shows are sparkly, rambunctious and a hell of a lot of fun.

Friday (12/9) –

Vessel with Jameron

Local Kaiju magic.

Saturday (12/10) –

The Districts, Tangiers, BRENDA

The Districts never disappoint when they’re in town. They are gearing up to head on tour with Dr. Dog, and appear to have some new tunes. Haymarket patrons, unite!

Dru Hill

Check out GroupOn for some discounted tickets for these soulful, 90’s singers.

Will Hoge, Elise Davis

Another Grammy-nominated artist is coming through The New Vintage. If you need an acoustic, intimate night, this is your jam.

Eastwood Records Americana Fest with The Whiskey Riders, Tom Boone & the Backporch Pickers, and John Clay

We honestly have just heard about Eastwood Records, a local Americana label, but this seems like the perfect introduction.
