Pretty much what it sounds like. Check out the sunset over the river (always picture-worthy) and make/fly kites to the sounds of WUOL.
The Palmer Squares, Phorensicz, Daw$on
Chicago hip-hop duo The Palmer Squares are in the middle of their summer tour. Planet of the Shapes, released in May of this year, hit the tops of Bandcamp hip-hop charts – get out and enjoy.
Tuesday (8/2) –
I don’t know if you’ve heard, but your hometown homies, MMJ will be the backing band for Ray. I think there may be a few more tickets available for this Palace show, but nab them quickly as I’m sure it will sell out by Tuesday.
Wednesday (8/3) –
Lake Street Dive, Aoife O’Donovan
Two Wednesdays in a row we’ve had excellent shows. You won’t want to miss a single second of either act.
Thursday (8/4) –
If you’re able to spend your lunch break downtown at Louisville Metro Hall, we’re jealous of you.
Anders Osborne, Oliver John-Rodgers
We were pretty stoked when we got the Headliners email announcing Anders Osborne. Don’t worry about the fact that this is the ? th night in a row you’ve gone out to a show – we’re on the same page and it’s glorious.
Beats & Eats: “Nochevieja En August,” Berchules, Spain New Year
YUM.
Friday (8/5) –

The Nashville dudes of Fly Golden Eagle have been to town a couple of times in the past year or so but for festivals. Catching a full, New Vintage set will be tight.
Saturday (8/6) –
If EDM is your thing, then this should be fun. Honestly, none of the names on this bill ring a bell but dancing is always a winner.
Umphrey’s McGee, The Main Squeeze
Umphrey’s McGee is back at the Iroquois Amphitheater. UM’s light performance and fun, upbeat jamming are hard to beat.
This is a reschedule from earlier this year and we’re glad that Bob Schneider is back to make up for that missed date.
Inner Space Album Release Show
