We’re getting ready for a week off work (SPRING BREAKKKK) and this will certainly prepare us. Follow us on social media, scratch that, just join us out at these events! Check back here late for some pictures and reviews for whatever you missed.
Wednesday (3/30)-
Eliot Lipp is an innovative Brooklyn Artist who has developed an uncategorical name for himself over the last ten plus years. Blockhead is a similar uncanny talent. The last couple weeks of Zbar Wednesday shows have been on point, this one will be the same.
The Moody Blues got started far before we were even ever thought of, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t appreciate what they do. Louisville should be honored by their presence in town.
An Evening with Shovels & Rope
A Louisville staple, Shovels and Rope returns for what is sure to be a personal performance at the KCD Theater. The new parent duo never disappoints, so we’re confident that all in attendance will be more than content with their evening.
We hear there is a GonzoFest preparatory party going on this Wednesday. The cover is free, but donations are absolutely accepted, AND you will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the actual April 16 event at half price! DEAL.

Thursday (3/31)-
It is officially warm enough for one of Louisville’s premiere rooftop spots to be open.
WFPK has been really pushing this one, which tells us its gonna be something. The Mississippi band (obviously) is taking over the Bomhard Theater this Thursday.
Nick Dittmeier continues to really put the work in and it is starting to pay off. We’ve always enjoyed the intimate shows at Manny & Merle, plus they’ve got freaking delicious mac n cheese.
New Vintage + harmonica + soul/blues magic = perf.
Friday (4/1)-
The Legendary Shack Shakers, The Pine Hill Haints
Paducah, KY’s The Legendary Shack Shakers have that certain Southern swag. They’re heading out for a bit of a spring tour and we’re on the list. Let’s pack Zanzabar for one of our state’s own.
Mojoflo is a well known band around town, which makes sense considering their swagger and charm. They’ve got the genre-crossing music and incredible vocals
Ninnie Noises, Cat Casual & the Holy Midnight
Louisville bands and Kentucky bourbon. What a glorious combination.
Saturday (4/2)-
Louisville City FC vs New York Red Bulls II
This isn’t a music event, but Louisville needs to show out for our very own futbol club! Louisville FC games involve loads of beers, cheering, and purple paint stuff. We love Saturday’s at Slugger Field slinging slanders at the opposition.

Howell’s Hoot & Holler Karaoke
This has developed into one of Zbar’s gems. Howell Dawdy’s character paired with the stressful fun of a Karaoke death wheel (maybe that’s just me) gloriously placed on top of free tacos or Swiss Cake Rolls results in a entertaining night to say the least.
