The Black Keys return to Louisville

I wish I had been living here a few years ago to see them perform at Iroquois Amphitheater. I was lucky to catch them at Forecastle last year, and they were the perfect band to kick off the weekend. Last week, The Black Keys returned to Louisville, taking center stage at the Yum! Center to feature their new album, Turn Blue. It was an incredible show. We heard a lot from El Camino, several older songs, and a few new ones. The crowd was amped up from Kentucky band Cage the Elephant, and there was a definite rock vibe in the stadium. We were pretty disappointed to not hear “Weight of Love,” but I understand that it didn’t necessarily fit in with the rest of the set. Dan & Patrick read the audience just right and put on a great show. Can’t wait for your next return, guys.
