Tuesday (5/9) –
Pinegrove with Russell The Leaf
Pinegrove’s music is very indie and chill. After the events of this weekend, that kind of comfort might be exactly what we need. We’re gonna try and catch their set at Shaky Knees this weekend, but this should be on everyone’s radar here in town.
Their February release, Offers, received some rave reviews, showing the band’s depth as they have grown since their first album a few years ago. I guess you’ll just have to see it for yourself.
The Bloomington band will have Tim Faulkner hoppin’ on a Tuesday.
Kaijuesdays, because duhhh. So sounds like there will be a couple of sets from Louisville comics, and there will be an audience poll to help decide what’s coming next.
Wednesday (5/10) –
Beer & Jazz with Karan Chavis and Her Quartet
Goodwood continues to kill. Everyone needs a mid-week beer. And jazz is soothing.
This NY female duo apparently likes to wear white. Their angelic, flawlessly meshed voices pair nicely with their fashion choices.

Sean Rowe has always stood out for his distinctive baritone voice. He has taken a little turn from Madman for this new project, New Love. We’re into all of it though.
Soft Self Portraits ‘Hold Me Up to the Light’ release, with Bodycocktail, PRJCTR
Soft Self Portraits is having a cassette/digital release for Hold Me Up To The Light. Sounds like a great reason to get on over to Kaiju.
Friday (5/12) –

JTown has a pavilion and there will be music there. That is cool.
I know people are excited about Clutch, but also…Lucero will be at the Palace?! I know the fans who have crammed in to Headliners over the years will be pumped for this one.
The McDonald bros have been doing their thing together since 1978, so there’s definitely nothing to worry about here.
