San Fermin – Always a LML fave

I think we say this in EVERY post about San Fermin, but honestly, we love them so much. Shout out to Shaky Knees for inviting the band to play at the 2014 edition of the festival, which is when our love affair began. San Fermin has now traveled to Louisville a handful of times, and every time, I can’t help but think: “Why aren’t there more people here?!” The same was true when they took the stage at Headliners a couple of weeks ago, although more people trickled in as the night went on and to be fair, there was a lot going on that night, too. I couldn’t help but think that maybe Headliners’ stage just isn’t designed for the 8-person band, and that maybe Zanzabar’s redesigned wide-open space would be a better fit… But regardless, the Brooklyn band still sounded as good as ever – Charlene Kaye and Allen Tate killing the vocals, Ellis Ludwig-Leone masterfully leading the whole procession, and newest member Claire Wellin tearing up the violin – and I’m digging the newest album Belong. Can’t wait for the next time, you all.
